MOONPHASE is a collection of highly detailed Moon renders covering the entire lunar cycle, making it the one-stop solution for any VFX or 3D shots that need a photorealistic moon. Included are both stills and video, in multiple resolutions from 8K and downward, so whether you need a small moon in the background, or a super telephoto moon that is riddled with detail, this collection has you covered. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

• Optimized for easy compositing in any workflow: Simply drag a moon on top of your shot, set its blending mode to Add or Screen, and adjust opacity, exposure, and color tint as needed
• No clipped highlights and no sharpening applied
• Easily create "earthshine" by subtly blending a Full Moon on top of your chosen Moon phase, to get the effect of light being reflected back from the Earth onto the Moon
• Adding the Moon to a shot with stars? Use the included alpha channel to mask out any background stars before blending the moon on top
• Bonus info #1: The Moon (this one and the real Moon) is tidally locked with Earth, which means that it spins on its axis exactly once each time it orbits our planet, with the result that as we observe from Earth, we will only ever see one side of the Moon.
• Bonus info #2: While everyone on Earth will see the same Moon, it will have a different roll angle depending on where you are observing from. A person travelling from the Northern Hemisphere toward the Southern Hemisphere will see the Moon appear to roll onto its side when reaching the equator, and appear upside down when reaching the South Pole. So, take note of where on Earth your VFX shot is supposed to be located and rotate the Moon accordingly.
• Bonus info #3: The real Moon exhibits a phenomenon called libration, which makes it appear to "wobble" on its axes, but a decision was made early on to ignore this effect in order not to create a gazillion variations of the assets.
