This free sample pack features seven texture maps, that can be layered to design the perfect Milky Way galaxy for your 3D or VFX shots. Resolution in this free sample is 8K (full version is up to 64K), and all photographic maps are stored as OpenEXR with great dynamic range for tweaking exposure and rendering realistic motion blur. Most of the texture data was sourced from NASA/SVS and edited + refined to be more artist friendly (full credits below). The result is a highly versatile and realistic set of assets—ideal for testing or personal non-commercial projects.
